When we have passion in our soul and love in our hearts for something we attract serendipitous events and move forward faster than the speed of an email. Time stops and we are at one with ourselves. Beauty has bestowed us, and at this moment nothing in life seems to matter. We are focused on our passion and fully moving ahead with love in our heart, lightness in our head and laughter in our soul.

Your ultimate destiny is calling, singing songs of love, joy and inspiration.
It is saying, come into yourself and follow the crystal clear blue skies within you to find that you already possess all of the answers you need.

It has nothing to do with your work, your career, clothes, car or possessions. Instead it has everything to do with your passion, your true talents and the legacy you will leave behind. You already know what you are passionate about inside, although you may feel that your life is not highly passion centered at the moment. It’s there, and on a deeper level I believe you know what it is. Maybe you have gone of track, maybe you are after a fresh start in something new, or maybe you want to develop an already existing passion.

So what exactly is passion? It’s the fire in your belly. It’s when you work seven days a week out of choice because you love what you do and you can’t get enough of it. You know you are passionate about something when it is all you think about, you begin staying up late at night doing it, and getting up early in the morning just to begin it. You sacrifice everything you possibly can just to do it. You know it won’t go away because it’s something that is beyond your control. In essence your passion has consumed you; it’s an obsession, a conviction. You’re hooked!

What is lighting your fire?

Are you living your life to the fullest, by being fully consumed in your passion or just getting by?

I remember 4 years ago I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I knew in my heart that I was very entrepreunral but had squashed my natural tendency because of the criticism that I received from family members.
I remember on April 01st 2004 I woke up – Yes I woke up after a good nights sleep, but I woke up on a deeper level. I woke up inside.
I discovered that there is no reward without risk, and I had spent a large part of my life running from risk, and as a result I had little reward. I learnt over those past 4 years that risk can actually be your friend if you learn how to manage it appropriately. I embraced risk and its friends and I began following my dreams, yes I still had criticism but I had something bigger to keep me going.. Belief.

I believed with my whole heart in myself and what I was doing, I believed that my passion was going to be shown to me and it was. I believed that my passion would develop and unfold and it has. I believed in myself and had faith in the universe. Faith is the seed below the true of belief. In time you too can find the way, and never mind what others say because as I did I persevered and the answered unfolded along the way and so did the truth.

But what if you are like me and don’t know your passion? What if you are like the ship drifting at sea? Do you start to dig and unravel what’s beneath the surface of the ship and who is steering the ship and what sort of map they have (if they have a map at all) or do you set your sights on finding something on top of the ship (or possibly outside the ship) to point your finger at and place the blame on why you haven’t found your port/ your passion yet?
Don’t think that living your passion is to be restricted to one thing. Remember I for many years was that ship just drifting in the water and although I now know what I love to do it did take me many years and many many many failed attempts to reach the place I am at, and I know there will be many more glorious years of failure to come.

I embrace failure, and look forward to failing. Because from every failed attempt I get the advantage of learning something and then I can take yet another step forward. Because I have learned something so it hasn’t been a complete waste of my time. There is a lesson in everything and everyone, learn to look for it.
Watch the people around you, and begin to tune in to those subtle synchronistic events, you may just find that they are not a coincidence. You may just find that they are actually subtle clues and hints to help you go to the next level in your life or career, and to help you fulfill and achieve ultimate success.

Fulfillment begins on the inside, and to be fulfilled is to be grateful.

But before you can see it you must devote all of yourself to your passion. When you devote of yourself you are giving a part of you to the life force and to mankind. You are truly being unselfish, and truly being a giver.

And when you do begin moving toward your passion it will happen so fast you will not know where you had been all the years of your life.

Can you start small somewhere?  Starting small, and staying small is a good mantra to adopt. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being big. But my idea is that you start small, and create lasting changes and stay small by keeping those lasting changes but also adding new changes one small step at a time.

Don’t give up when you slip up and miss a step, you didn’t have the step in the first place but you can certainly learn from your slip up and take another step forward. When you feel you are comfortable, and are not one hundred percent confident take another step, close your eyes and trust that the step will appear as you reach out. Your confidence will come as you grow.

Don’t allow others to steal your passion. This is horrible and I unfortunately know people who are passion stealers (P.S’s). There is a secret to fulfilling your passion and it involves not telling people about it. Don’t be a person that speaks more than they do, do first then if anyone ask tell them. But don’t tell people for the sake of telling people about your goals, aspirations and certainly your passions. You do not need P.S’s in your life blowing out your fire as you are just getting warmed up.

If others don’t steal your passion from you and stomp on it, then there is another person that may do it. That’s you! Don’t forget that we may also be at war with ourselves from time to time. During the day we have to make numerous decisions and sometimes we can toss up between several different decisions in our mind for what we have to do. Don’t overlook your passion for sheer pettiness and life’s troubles. Its okay to have a hard day at work, but do you really need to plunk yourself down in front of the couch and stay there all night till you are too tired and have to drag yourself of to bed.

Give yourself the gift of scheduling in time to work on your passion, and stay true to that commitment by honoring it. Keep your commitments to yourself just as you would to your best friend, or your spouse. Without a doubt you will also want to be spontaneous and take action on your passion as you please. But don’t wait for the perfect moment, that’s a myth and belongs in the myth box not in your life. So put that away and just…

Get started now.  If you are unsure of what your passion is, take time out to explore, be wild, be daring, be different. I love people that are different, the world is full of people that are so much alike that the world yearns for you to be yourself, and be different from others.

Because passion and self exploration are interconnected you are not going to be able to work on one without the other. So take time out to explore yourself some more, even if you know, or sort of know what you want you are so passionate about keep growing personally because that pays dividends.

Make the most of the moment and the passion will follow.
When you are directly centered in the moment, and at peace with yourself and your life you can easily arouse your passion that is buried deep within. You can bring it up by being settled in the moment your passion intuitively wants to come out and express itself. When you feel yourself wondering of centre, find a way to bring yourself back and ground yourself in the present moment again.

Remember Its not about you its about your passion. I believe that you were put here to fulfill your own special purpose. I do not believe that there is a universal purpose that we all must abide by. But rather you have your own unique purpose and I have mine. They may be completely different or similar it doesn’t matter. It also doesn’t matter if I know yours, its your treasure look after it. It is the foot print that you will leave in the sand after you have passed away. Keep growing toward your purpose, I don’t think you should ever really reach the end. That’s selfish, you should always strive to be better, stronger, wiser. Keep with your passion and give the most you can to it. Rest if you need to, take time out to reflect on your day/ your month/ and your year and then get back to work. Take good care of your passion because it will ultimately be your legacy that you will leave behind.
